    Default Beware of playtech casinos

    Invaders from the Planet Moolah
Hi there I quite like the slots in the playtech casinos however i only like to play with real money not bonuses. most playtech casinos seem ok however i cam across one yesterday which seemed to do something that to me should be againsgt the law.

So I after signing up to crown europe casinio i deposit £20 and playthrough this normally. My next deposit is the same £20 played through lost it. however on my 3rd deposit by this time im nearly out of cash in bank I deposit my £20 and all of a sudden i get a popup saying £6 bonus added to balance. Now to let you understand i did not ask for this bonus neither was i given any option to decline it so i took no notice. So i played through my last deposit and luckily I manaegd to win back £240 I was like yeeha got all my cash back can now withdraw and leave! .... WRONG after being declined the withdrawal i asked the chat person what was goin on.

Apparently because they put the bonus on my balance which i didnt ask for that turned my deposit + the £6 bonus into a playthrough I was like WTF there was no declin option available or anything not even a warning to tell you it was a playthrough requirement. Basically what theyve done is robbed me of my deposit by turning it straight into a bonus which i didnt want. SURELY this must be against the law or something.

also to let you understand when i asked what the remaining playthrough amount was still to playthrough the woman said £540 I was like WHAT THE HELL all they did was plop £6 of unwanted bonus on my account. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!!!!

Can anyone tell me what the standing is on this? thanks

Unfortunately I think you are screwed.

The problem is that you played on after they added the bonus to your account - as soon as you bet 1c of the bonus you are deemed to have accepted it and the terms which go with it.
What you should have done of course, as soon as you saw that pop-up you should have stopped playing and contacted CS to ask them to remove the bonus.

Regarding the "law"; basically there isn't any when it comes to online casinos. There is some supposed "regulation" by the country/body who licence the casinos, but in the majority of cases the licencing authority doesn't give a toss, to be brutally honest.
In any event, even if the casino was licenced by a responsible authority, I think in your particular case they would still say the casino is in the right for the reasons I gave above.

Sorry you have learnt one of the "Online Casino Lessons" the hard way - at least now you wont make that mistake again!
I'm afraid your only option is to complete the WR and hope you don't lose to much in the process.
You never know - you might even increase your balance!

    Good luck.

My theory has always been ALL online casinos are rigged (lot's of people disagree with me ). I believe that if you are "marked to win" you will. I believe that they will pay out their required % (97 or 98% or whatever) but it won't happen in a random fashion. Basically, I beleive all software casinos are like slot machines, they are programmed to pay out a fixed percentage (like SLOTLAND). You just need to be on the right side of the curve at the right time. Therefor "fair but not random." The bonus is the "great equalizer."

Edit: Note to TedM. They have been paying out VERY quickly during the course of this five week promo. Usually in UNDER 1 week at least on PayPal deposits. I got paid Sunday for my Wednesday cashout.

I've played with Playtech casinos for many years, and generally I find them fair. The gameplay on most games is what I'd expect in typical land based casinos - perhaps with the exception of Pai Gow Poker which I find to have some very interesting "streaks" for the dealer... that said, I've both won and lost on Playtech, in a random fashion, so it would seem that the average session is reasonable and fair. I do believe that smaller bets have more likelihood of a win - which goes against what I said in the previous lines - however that's been my experience. Have won some larger bets of course, but seem to have better luck playing lots of smaller bets rather than a few larger ones. Might be coincidence, could be random. Who knows. Playtech software is used by many reputable brands, so it would seem unlikely the software itself is "rigged" - they're also listed on the London Stock Exchange.
