    Default Beware of Mummys Gold

    Invaders from the Planet Moolah
Please read the below Live Help from Mummys Gold

When I first joined they gave me lots of bonuses at least one a week. I then won about £2000 and withdrew it - the bonuses stopped. I asked where the bonuses were and whether my withdrawal had anything to do with this. I was twice told no your withdrawal has nothing to do with this. I asked again today and got the following:

Naz: How may I assist you today?
smudge: Still havent had any bonuses for ages now - am I entitled to any as this is getting annoying
Naz: Would you mind waiting while I look into your account?
    smudge: no probs
smudge: i used to get loads then they stopped
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Carlo '.
You are now chatting with 'Carlo '
    smudge: hi
    Carlo : Hi there,
Carlo : One moment while we have a look at your account
Carlo : Thank you for holding,
Carlo : I am afraid there are no bonuses available at this time
smudge: why? I used to get them, I have made loads of deposits and now I don't deserve them?
smudge: I have waited to see if they reappear but nothing
smudge: Please can you close this account now as I am now very upset
Carlo : WE understand your frustration however, you are currently up on the casino on withdrawals alone
smudge: Ah so even though you have previously said that my withdrawal had nothing to do with not getting bonuses that was a LIE
smudge: Other operators said that had nothing to do with it but you have just admitted it!
smudge: I Have copied your response and will be taking this further

So proof that if you withdraw at Mummys Gold you wont get any more bonuses

Disgusting that they lied to me twice as well!

I'm afraid to say, but this group (Palace Group) do have a long history of the actions you suffered. i.e. Stopping bonuses if a player wins.
The win does not even have to be more than the total deposits; they have some formula they use to determine the cut-off point.
Now that is fine, casinos have the right to offer (or not) bonuses to any of their players. The problem with them though, is that they are not honest about the reasons. If they were honest I think players would be more likely to accept it without any hard feelings.

HOWEVER... why did you close your account?
Many players do this because they see it as a "protest" and hope that they will help pursued the casino to change it's policies. In my opinion it is highly unlikely to make any difference; you would be better off leaving your account open, because 6-months down the road they would almost certainly start offering you good bonuses once more to try to get you to start playing again.

I have signed up to over 230 different online casinos and NEVER closed an account, no matter how pissed-off with the casino I may have been. I just don't see the point.

I've heard both good and bad re Mummys Casino. Whenever I hear even a few bad points about an online casino, I avoid it. A casino that could go bad / has gone bad, does not often go good.

Bonuses are a marketing tool, and shouldn't be expected. If you're up on the casino to date, I can understand them not offering you further bonuses. i'm not saying that is good - just that I can see their point. Why market to you and incentiveise you if you are constantly winning when bonuses are given? Bonuses are typically offered to new players, or players having a bad run of luck (e.g. losing) - the casino wants to offer an incentive to play.

If it helps, I've had some similar experiences in the past. KasinoKing's advice to leave your account open and not play is a good one. For example, I was VIP with the Mansion Group casinos for a while. I played and won, played and lost for a few months. Then I stopped for 8 weeks. They sent me a BBQ, a Video recording device, cash and bonuses to get me primed and ready for play again... those gifts made the investment / risk almost an even money proposition...

For the record, they were pretty good with bonuses, whether I was winning or losing.

As players, we can always vote with our wallets. There are thousands of online casinos, so if Mummys Gold is not working for you, choose another. KasinoKing features adverts here for a handful on these forums, my site (and millions of others) also feature advertising for a range of reputable casinos. There's plenty to choose from.

Good luck whenever and wherever you play.
