    Default Giant Betfair face being rogued… !

    Invaders from the Planet Moolah
    Betfair is one of the biggest and most popular online betting groups in the whole of Europe, but now they are on the brink of a total catastrophe!

    In November 2010 they launched a “Happy Hours” promotion for their online casino. But unfortunately they screwed up the T&C’s in THREE ways; by having a WR which was too low, allowing play on low house-advantage games and letting players claim the same bonus over and over again.

    Naturally many players took the generous promotion Betfair offered them, and many of them were able to win. Some players won LARGE amounts!

    When Betfair realised their mistake, they added to it by making THREE more mistakes;
    They confiscated the winnings of 100’s (or 1000’s?) of players, even though they played within the terms.
    They claimed back money they had already paid out to players’ e-wallets and bank accounts.
    They will not be paying back players who lost while doing the promotion.

    Bottom line is; when a player makes a mistake, the player pays. When Betfair make a mistake, the player pays.
    This is NOT the way to run a reputable organisation and if Betfair don’t see common sense soon, they are going to be rogued by all the top “watchdog” sites, not to mention facing probable court action.

    I have already removed all their banners from my sites and blacklisted them.

    Yep this is a major F UP, on the part of Betfair. As a result they have been rogued at CasinoMeister, details here: Betfair Casino Rogued

    Why is it that these massive gaming companies, can't accept they made a rick, pay the players owed the money, then look at resolving their internal systems, to ensure this doesn't happen again.

    Yet it is always the player that suffers as a result.

    Shame on you Betfair!

    I'm not happy about this either - but I intend to take it up with them via LAC. I've used, played with, and promoted Betfair for many years now and have never had a personal problem with them. In fact, they've been one of the FAIREST casinos I've dealt with.

    I had a promo issue with them about four years ago, but after a few phone calls, I managed to get it resolved with them, and they paid me 1000GBP which would have been the top prize of the promotion - so I was more than happy with that response.

    Can't believe they are considered rogue... they're not from my experience. However I do think they should have paid compensation to all of those players affected in the promotion... and quite frankly, probably should have just paid all those winnings outright... if they've made a T&C mistake, tough! They should honour it.

    They are 50% owned by James Packers company with also owns Crown Casino in Melbourne - so they're not short of a few dollars.
