    Default Rival lose 3D slots...

    Invaders from the Planet Moolah
I don't know if this has been posted already, but ALL the "3D" slots which Rival licenced from a different software provider are being withdrawn by ALL Rival casino by the end of October.

Personally I don't much care about losing these slots, but what I do care about is that this tells me Rival might be in serious financial trouble again...

If true, this is a real kick in the teeth for me because I have spent 1,000s of hours putting all Rival Casino & Slots details on my websites & even have 2 sites dedicated specifically to their software.

Was there an update to this? Were your thousands of hours wasted or all ok in the end?

No real update to speak of.
I am still concerned that Rival are still continuing to run their business extremely poorly in some areas - mainly in appalling handling of the White Labels who have gone tits-up, their totally confused stance on the USA (some Rivals CAN take USA players and some can NOT) and still taking FAR too long to pay Players and Affiliates.

I'm pretty sure all their problems have become extremely widely known now and my new player sign-ups to Rival casinos have gone down from "awesome" 2 years ago to virtually nil these days.
So in that respect, the 1000s of hours I spent cramming loads of Rival-specific data into 4 of my websites has been wasted.

Things are looking a little bit better in some respects now - they have started releasing a lot more new games recently after they slowed to a mere trickle last year.
I hope they do survive, but if they want to compete with the "big boys" they still need to smarten up their act in several areas.

Personally, given their shady reputation, and the fact you're not getting signups, I'd be tempted to dump them all together and use your page / site real estate for sites you know will pay you - whether as a player, or an affiliate. Hours of work for no return would seem to not be ideal, from where I sit. I have a stop and drop policy on adverts I carry - if the casino ever goes bad, or if clickthroughs become very low (sometimes due to placement, but often due to the brand not carrying out tv or web based advertising to get it front of mind for players etc), I drop the adverts / brand.

There are so many good affiliate casino brands out there these days that it's easy to pick and choose at whim.

I operate a similar policy if they try to pay me 20% of losses or some equally cruddy amount. Some pay me up to 70% now, due to the quality of traffic and players I send them. Anything under 40% has a very slim chance of staying on my sites long term. It takes, as you say, a lot of work to set up sites and networks to promote these giants, so it's only fair that there is a good and timely return.

One other thing: I try out as a player EVERY casino I feature. If they don't act admirably / pay promptly in the early days, they have ZERO chance of me being an affiliate of them. I'm sure you have a similar policy?

Certainly with regard to Rival this is true; I have signed-up as a player to almost every Rival casino which ever existed!
    (That's about 40 sign-ups)
This was partly due to necessity though - with most Rival casinos you can not see the full terms of their welcome bonuses unless you sign-up, because the only place they are displayed is in the casino's cashier screen.
Of course, I took the free-chips most offer, and if any had decent deposit bonuses I took them too.

As for the other casinos I list on my site, well I have joined & played at about half of them. A couple of years back it would have been more like 90% - but becoming a "house husband" with 2 pre-school kiddies to look after has severely cut back my "gambling time", so now I partly rely on recommendations from reputable sources, like CasinoMeister & AGD for example.

I keep saying I'm going to make time to try some others - and I really must! There are lots of new casinos & new softwares appearing now which I have only "dabbled" at - I'd love to sit down & give them a good crack!

    Cheers!
