UNIBET LAUNCHES OWN INTERNET POKER PLATFORM IN ITALY

Partnering with Ongame's P5 Poker Engine

Online gambling operator Unibet has launched its own platform in Italy on Unibet.it & is offering Italian poker players Sit & Go, scheduled & multi-table poker tournaments on the Ongame P5 Poker Engine.

Poker cash games, casino offerings & sports betting will be added to the platform in 2011.

"Re-launching our operations, using our own technology & joining Ongame network is the first step of our market re-entry in Italy. With the imminent introduction of cash games, we see great value in the Italian market", says Unibet CEO Henrik Tjärnström.

"Unibet is a well renowned brand, & we are very happy to work with them in Italy," says Martin Lerby, Head of Ongame. "With the addition of Unibet, & later the introduction of cash games, we will see new energy coming into the Italian market both for players & operators, since we will see more products & better liquidity which will lead to increased revenues."

The Unibet / Ongame Italian co-operation extends the companies partnership as Unibet have already announced its intentions to join Ongame Network France.
