Long-running sponsorship with Brisbane Broncos significantly expanded
Sportingbet's Australia division today made the biggest financial commitment to a National Rugby League club by a sports wagering company in Australian history with a A$2 million marketing investment.
The online gambling company has extended its two year relationship with the Brisbane Broncos by announcing a record new three year sponsorship which will see its name appear on the top back panel of their playing jersey.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said he was confident the partnership would be beneficial for both parties.
"We have been a sponsor of the Broncos for two years but we have significantly upgraded the deal & extended it until the end of 2013," Sullivan said. "We were the first bookmaking company to be on an NRL jersey & this commitment shows how much faith we have in the Broncos brand.
"Sports betting, & NRL in particular, is a major growth area & this is the perfect way for Sportingbet to promote our brand & contribute back to Rugby League at the same time."
Sportingbet is an approved betting provider of the NRL which includes an integrity agreement as well as contributing financially to the NRL.
