Five more co-sponsors brings total to date to twenty five

Texas Congressman Joe Barton's HR2366 proposal to legalise online poker at the federal level (see previous reports) has attracted a further five political co-sponsors.

The latest bipartisan support comes from Pennsylvania Republican Jim Gerlach, & Democrats Jim Himes & John Larson from Connecticut, Vermont's Peter Welch & Howard Berman from California.

They join earlier co-sponsors including Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), Bob Filner (D-CA), Michael Capuano (D-MA), Eliot Engel (D-NY), Steve Israel (D-NY) & Joe Heck (R-NV), together with Robert Andrews (D-NJ), Shelley Berkley (D-NV), John Campbell (R-CA), Steve Cohen (D-TN), John Conyers (D-MI), Barney Frank (D-MA), Michael Grimm (R-NY), Michael Honda (D-CA), Peter King (R-NY), James Moran (D-VA), Ronald Paul (R-TX), Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), Jared Polis (D-CO) & Linda Sánchez (D-CA).
