Microgaming or MGS as they are often referred as, are a South African based casino software company which was established in 1994. MGS has become one of the most popular casino software providers amongst the player community as a result of their innovative games and tie ins with some well known brands.

Microgaming currently powers in excess of 150 online casinos and their viper casino software currently features over 400 casino games. Playtech was established in 1999 and is the software of choice of some of the world's largest online casinos. Playtech is at the time of writing and updating our Casino Software Guide probably our favourite casino software. This is primarily due to the slot games available to play on Playtech powered casinos.

With some great tie ins such as the Marvel Super Hero Slots, Playtech with over 300 games is certainly a favourite with players.

The only downside with Playtech, is that they do not police their licensees to the extent that Microgaming does. Therefore, it is worth noting that currently we ( Casinos Online ) only recommend two Playtech online casinos.

PLAYTECH...

American casino software company; Real Time Gaming was established in 1999 and is now the software of choice for in excess of 100 online casinos that are currently in operation.

Real Time Gaming or RTG as they are often referred to as, provides over 100 games, of which several are progressive based. Therefore creating the possibility of a life changing win.

Currently at this moment in time, we only recommend two casinos which utilise RTG's Software. These are All Star Slots and Club World Casino.

RTG powered casinos  in the main have a chequered history, with many licensees not being player friendly. This is a result of RTG failing or not wanting to police those operators that utilise their software.

Cryptologic used to be a big player providing numerous online casinos with their software.

Recently of late and since William Hill Online  bought out CasinoPays and merged with Playtech, their number of dedicated casino clients, numbers just the one casino.

However Cryptologic or Wagerlogic as they are sometimes known, do provide additional games, which several online casinos utilise, in addition to their main software suite.

Cryptologic also still develops some ground breaking games of which the King Kong slot is one of our favourites.

There are three words to sum up Rival Gaming, the Canadian Casino Software Company; UnderFunded, UnderStaffed and White Labels. Well make that four words :-s.

Rival Gaming burst onto the online gambling scene like a breath of fresh air a few years back. Offering players a very real alternative, especially those players who reside in the US.

However, it has all fallen flat.

The problem is, Rival thought they could run before they could walk and when they found out they could not, it was the customers, the patrons at the casinos powered by Rival Gaming Software that suffered.

Top Game Technologies is a fairly new casino software company, that has been been beset by problems from the outset.

Top Game entered the lucrative online casino marketplace, hoping to take advantage of the space created by those casinos which had pulled out from servicing US Players. This was a result of the UIGEA ( Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act ) being passed back in 2006.

All well and good you might think. However Top Game and those casinos using their software have built up a chequered reputation of poor customer service, below par pr and more.
