West Ham striker leaves the hammers after deal runs out
Football news site Footie Online is reporting that West Ham stiker Demba Ba, has called time on his career at Upton Park & turned down a new contract, which the Guardian reports as being worth 50,000 a week plus a one off bonus payment.
Signed in the January window on a pay as you play deal, Demba Ba went on to score 7 times in 12 appearances for the Hammers. But determined to continue playing in the top flight, Demba Ba has rejected out of hand, West's new deal.
The availability of Demba Ba on a free transfer will certainly pique the interest of Everton as it is widely known David Moyes is looking for more forward power & has very limited funds at his disposal to spend. Hence obtaining Demba Ba on a free transfer would be a great piece of business for the Everton boss.
Other interest is likely to come from Newcastle & also newly promoted QPR.
Sam Allardyce the recently installed West Ham manager has now got to search for a replacement for Demba Ba, as well as dealing with several players who will also be leaving the club, as a result of their relegation to the Championship.
