Football news site Footie Online is reporting that West Ham stiker Demba Ba, has called time on his career at Upton Park and turned down a new contract, which the Guardian reports as being worth 50,000 a week plus a one off bonus payment.

Signed in the January window on a pay as you play deal, Demba Ba went on to score 7 times in 12 appearances for the Hammers. But determined to continue playing in the top flight, Demba Ba has rejected out of hand, West's new deal.
